From my descriptions: Oblatam is using Biothaumaturgic Thaumaturgy to reanimate dead animals to use as guards (this is more “Frankenstein” style animation in a laboratory as opposed to Necromancy style). There is a cage full of live puppies. One puppy that he just killed. And then a dead, animated puppy (which is what all the puppies are going to be like, soon enough).
Me, being a smart ass, thought...what if he was making Labs....in his Lab!
